Renaming a SugarCRM feature tab

An instance of this is leaving AEGIS for SugarCRM and having to relearn key terms, we renamed the Cases tab to Incidents in order to minimise the impact of changing support systems.
To do this you will require Administrative access:
- Open Admin
- From the Developer Tools tab open Rename Tabs
- Press the edit symbol beside the tab you wish to rename
- Update the name and press the Enter key
- Press the Save button

Adding a Home dashlet showing all unallocated Support incidents
Written by Michael Visser on July 2, 2008 – 2:44 pmConfiguring an Unallocated Incidents dashlet on your Home page allows you to see first-hand what incidents are in queue.
- Open the Home tab
- From the active Page (e.g. My Sugar) click the downward arrow
- Expand the menu and select Add Dashlets
- From the Modules tab select My Open Cases; your new dashlet will appear at the top of the list on your current Page
- From the right-side controls on your new dashlet press the edit symbol
- Change the Title field to Unallocated Incidents
- Set the Team Id to Support
- Set the Status to New
- Ensure the Assigned To combo box is empty
- Press the Save button
